Before your first virtual visit with Greenlight Neurology, please review how telemedicine care works and what it means for your evaluation.
Telemedicine uses secure, HIPAA-compliant video and audio to deliver care when you and your neurologist are in different locations. Your visit with Dr. Karmazin includes history taking, an observed neurological examination adapted for video, review of prior testing, and a treatment plan.
Care from home without travel, longer appointment times, easier access to a subspecialist, and coordination of testing and prescriptions near where you live.
Some parts of a physical examination cannot be performed remotely, which may make a diagnosis less complete than during an in-person visit. Technology failures may interrupt or delay a visit. In rare cases, information transmitted electronically could be intercepted despite security safeguards. If your condition requires in-person evaluation, imaging, or emergency care, you will be referred for it.
Participation is voluntary. You may withhold or withdraw consent at any time without affecting your right to future care, and you may request an alternative to a video visit where one is available. You may ask who else is present during the visit, and visits are not recorded without your permission.
You must be physically located in a state where Dr. Karmazin is licensed at the time of your visit, and you will be asked to confirm your location and a contact number in case the connection drops. Telemedicine is not for emergencies — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
By scheduling and attending a virtual visit, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this information and consent to receive neurology care by telemedicine.
