Frequently Asked Questions
1. What kind of neurology care do you provide?
I am a general neurologist with a particular interest in treating people with migraines / headache disorders, seizures / epilepsy, and dementia / cognitive disorders. We can also be helpful if you are not sure of your specific diagnosis or if the symptoms you are experiencing are neurological in nature.
2. How do I schedule a visit?
You can book directly through our website using Healthie, or email us at contact@greenlightneurology.com. New appointments are typically available within 3–10 days.
3. How are visits conducted?
All visits take place securely over Zoom. You’ll receive a private video link after booking—no downloads or special software required.
4. What does a typical visit include?
Each visit includes a video consultation, treatment plan, and medication guidance. A summary of your visit is shared through your Healthie portal.
5. Can you prescribe medications?
Yes. I prescribe both acute and preventive migraine medications when clinically appropriate. Prescriptions are sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy.
6. Will you review my MRI, labs, or past records?
Yes. You’re encouraged to upload relevant documents through Healthie. A $95 record review fee may apply for extensive records (over 20 pages).
7. Do you offer long-term care or ongoing management?
Yes. You can schedule individual follow-up visits or join our Monthly Migraine Care Plan, which includes:
- One video visit per month
- Unlimited secure messaging
- Prescription management
- Optional coordination with your primary care provider
8. Do you accept insurance?
No. This is a self-pay (out-of-network) practice. Payment is due at the time of booking. A superbill (medical receipt) can be provided for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Please see our Services page for specific pricing.
9. What states do you serve?
You must be physically located in a state where I am licensed at the time of your visit. Currently, I serve patients in: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Texas, Utah, and Washington.
10. Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay?
Yes. Most Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) allow reimbursement for out-of-pocket medical expenses, including telemedicine visits. Check with your plan provider.
11. What platform do you use for scheduling and messaging?
We use Healthie, a HIPAA-compliant platform, for booking, intake forms, secure messaging, and document sharing. You’ll receive access to your Healthie portal after scheduling.
